IH question - Low A Cod Liver Oil
Hi IH
In light of excessive Vitamin A possibly not being that good for you, I`m considering switching to Carlsons Low Vit A Cod Liver Oil and adding Vit D suppliments.
Would this be ok rather than using Krill Oil mainly cause Cod liver oil cleared up my skin and joint problems (regular fish oil didn`t) .

Re: IH question - Low A Cod Liver Oil
TheOne - Sure, that would be totally fine. Incidentally, Krill oil is much better than fish oil. It is estimated to be 20 to 40 times superior. The reason is the phospholipids bound to EPA/DHA which increase the transport of these Omega-3's into the cell membrane while getting the additional benefit of the phospholipids themselves. Also the antioxidant naturally present in Krill oil (Astaxanthin) is about 300 times more powerful than vitamin E and preserves the integrity of the EFA's.
This is the only type of "fish" oil to significantly increase HDL (the other good cholesterol).

You make a great case for Krill oil.
Definitely worth considering.
Thanks

Re: IH question - Low A Cod Liver Oil
I second that. I have a bottle left, but I have been taking a lot less cod liver oil since the krill usage.
One thing I really like about krill oil is that it goes down so easy. When I would take a lot of cod liver oil in the past, I would feel pretty heavy in the stomach sometimes (when I over did it).

Misirlou - The only liquid krill oil I heard of is of industrial quality. I don't think there is a liquid krill product available for oral use.
