O/T: Forum Chat Feature?

It would be nice if online users could send messages to one another. This would definitely facilitate better exchange of ideas/thoughts.

i'm all for it, but i would like the channel conversations to be logged and archived for offline reference.
a jabber chatroom or an irc channel, with a logging bot would seem ideal for this...

A chat room would probably be better than a shoutbox... but both are cool.
I have no idea about shoutboxes for phpbb, but on my MyBB forum I use ET Chat for the chat room

I too vote for chat integration in this forum. I MSGed CS, but no reply (yet). I know it's possible and it can be very beneficial and cool.
