Retin-A ... Seems To Be Contradictions in Regard To Hair Loss
Been around the web ... seems there's just as much BAD news for retinoids (Retin-A) ...see two of several links below ...for hair as good news.
Any opinions? I just started up again...about 2 months ago using it apart from minox... years ago there were reports that they work better that way.
Not sure what to do ... I use a milder acting gel form (see below link) which gives me no shedding ... no irritation but I can feel it working in regard to absorption of topicals.
Any knowledgeable people to confirm one way (use it) or the other (don't)?

Retin A and Hair Loss
It was the darkest before the dawn with my hair loss. I refused to give up retin a and was chalking up my hair loss to the tremendous amount of stress due to two car accidents and my father's illness and ultimate death, but after almost a year of no growth following this horrible period, I decided to give up the retin a. It has been 3 months since I stopped using retin a and I can tell you my hair is way better (texture and volume). I see tons of new growth sticking up everywhere. I still have very thin hair on top, but I see a difference with every week passing. Hair loss is listed on the side effects sheet which came with my retin a gel. Perhaps it is just my body which cannot handle it or perhaps I used too much...don't know, but I can't risk using the retin a anymore. Other seem to use it without consequence. I wish I could because I really loved what it did for my skin, but not at the expense of losing my hair.

stress and hair loss
My doctor indicated that stress, but not the normal everyday stress, it has to be a significant stress or stretch of difficult, stressful events can cause hair loss. She told me she has seen it in other patients and once the stress is removed, the patient starts to grow hair again.
