Post  Joejoebaggins Sun Dec 14, 2008 1:38 pm

IH,

Quick quetion, i have a bottle of GSE and i remember it was in your regime. It was replaced by resveratrol right? Any harm in taking the rest of the bottle? Im looking for extra antioxidant support while im chelating.

Grape Seed Extract Empty Re: Grape Seed Extract

Post  goten574 Sat Jun 19, 2010 2:00 pm

I asked this twice before in another grape seed extract thread but got no reply so I will ask here.

My herbal shampoo with lots of so called beneficial ingredients for hair says "no grape seed extract" under the list of ingredients. Why would the shampoo company "Avalon" go out of their way to state this? Isn't grape seed extract good for hair?

I don't know why, grape seed extract is really good for hair. It's an aromatase inhibitor, PCK inhibitor which is good for inflammation, a strong antioxident, increase N.O . nothing is wrong is grape seed.

Why would Avalon choose to display that it DOES NOT contain grape seed extract? I do not understand but it is clear you don't know. Perhaps there is no good reason lol

It's an aromatase inhibitor. Inhibtiting estrogen formation in the hair follicle isn't good.

Wrong, baller234.Too much estradiol isn't good at all for hair, take a look at vit D3 she's increase testosterone and she 's good for hair.

No not wrong. Estrogen inside the hair follicle IS GOOD. Perhaps too much estrogen in the system is bad due to insulin resistance but from a hair follicles perspective, estrogen is good. Bryan has posted studies over at HLH in which topical estradiol was shown to be beneficial for men with AGA.

Internal grape seed extract could be very good for hair follicles but topically, the estrogen reducing effects would probably outweigh its benefits.

Goten was asking about why grape seed extract wouldn't be beneficial in a shampoo. My reply was directed towards that.
