chili peppers? Empty chili peppers?

I’ve noticed the same scalp itch after eating aji and rocoto peppers (Capsicum baccatum and C. pubescens, respectively) as compared to eating a heavy carb meal and sugary dessert. I’m not sure I can give these chili peppers up and am hoping it’s some other mechanism that causes the itch, something I don’t have to worry about. Please tell me it’s ok to keep enjoying spicy food.
