How long does it take a suppressed TSH to come back up?
CS, if someone has their TSH suppressed down to the .001-.01 range on levothyroxine, is it recoverable? How long will it take to come back up?

No iodine, I had him try it but he didn't like the sides.

That low TSH range is most likely an iodine shortage problem. Sides indicate an absolute deficient state.
He would better off, if he needs thyroid hormone to take Armour instead of T4. At the very least he will need selenium.
Salt loading with Vitamin C and Magnesium will allow better tolerability while going slow on iodine, and then increasing the dose.

Re: How long does it take a suppressed TSH to come back up?
My TSH has been dropping and is now down to .01 as well... I had been taking iodine here and there, but not in too high of doses. Now I'm taking it a little more often at about 5 to 10 mg in the day when I do. I prefer painting it on to taking it internally, but when fasting and taking humifulvate and MCP I'll start with iodine that day on an empty stomach. I've had hypo symptoms for a while. On the other side of things, my low testosterone shot up a couple hundred points from my last test.
