Cold sores..... Any cures?

anybody know of a cold sore cure I seem to get them every couple of months and they take 2 weeks to fully heal

Topical iodine is very effective--I'd imagine Super Saturated Potassium Iodide as well. Both destroy all the micro organisms and pathogens, and start to dry the effected area out.

Take Lysine and avoid arginine

Could also try topical lemon balm

Also, usually if you are getting these things, it's because you are stressed out or your immune system is otherwise compromised. So make sure you are doing what you need to do (ie getting plenty of rest, eating plenty of good foods, avoiding "bad" foods, minimizing stress, etc) to keep your immune system in tip top shape.

Lithium orotate works great for me...twice a day will virtually eliminate them. Iodine works well when you get one.

Fasting works well too, or the Warrior Diet in general. Allows your body to focus on healing instead of constantly digesting, digesting, digesting!

my advice, stop the supps and topical for a moment, do a 24h fast or semi-fast or very light meals for the gut to heal a bit, I had huge sheds, it is very stressing, I thought I was going to be bald the next day

My almost quadannual bouts with cold sores completely ceased since using lysine, iodine and collodial silver/gold over the last two years.

Colloidal silver works on most things ^_^

Probably works on cold sores too lol

yeah man joke is if you used CS for long enough you'd probably just kill the herpes virus that causes them internally and be done with it.

4-6oz a day should do it

I saw some brief writing here by CS on BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) but i could not find the details .. any thoughts on this ? as well as some Colloidal silver info ?

Mike, take L-Lysine on an empty stomach. 1 gram or more per day. You can use an l-lysine ointment or aciclovir cream too.

I cleared one once extremly rapidly, by using l-lysine in high doses and aciclovir topically.

Topically, Iodine might work too, but the above treatments are the ones I recommend.
