Canker Sores - hair/health
Hi CS and others,
I get canker sores from time to time....but since i started a cleaner diet they go away A LOT FASTER and are less painful.
I wonder what deficiency or poison is happening to the body when we get canker sores and how this affects hair as well.
Does anyone happen to know?
thanks!

While I am not sure about the diet aspect, I can say that sodium lauryl sulfate which is an ingredient found in all "mainstream" toothpastes and other products such as shampoo is known to irritate the lining of the mouth and can cause canker sores. I never had much problems with canker sores myself, however both my girlfriend and her dad were constantly plagued by them until they switched to an SLS-Free toothpaste. You can easily find an SLS free toothpaste online, but is much more difficult to find in stores. However at my local Walmart, they do carry Biotene "dry mouth formula" which is free of SLS.
