Hey guys, just thought i'd post some personal good news:

Went to the dentists last for the first time in about two years. I was expecting them to find at least several cavities, as they have every trip since I was about 12, but low and behold: NO CAVITIES! This came as quite a suprise to me.

Thanks to the advice from CS and others on this board, at about spring time of this year, I switched to a toothpaste without flouride (more like a powder actually). While I dont think it conclusively proved anything, IMO it had to have at least helped. I will admit I also cut way back on fruit juices in the last few months, which were a guilty pleasure of mine. I'm definitely sticking to unflouridated toothpastes though.

Just wanted say thanks to CS and others on this board, I learn things here that I would not have easily stumbled upon otherwise.

Yeah, I'll second that. The fluoride in toothpaste is far beyond necessary. I stopped F- toothpaste years ago now and no new cavities since improving diet generally.

All of my previous cavities I had when I was using F- toothpaste! But my diet was pretty bad (UK standard) back then.
