Nettles: Any experiences?

Hi guys

I have been interested in nettles for some time now, but I saw this thread: http://anabolicminds.com/forum/supplement-articles/87565-nettle-root-increases.html

They conclude (based on experiences) that nettles increases DHT-levels, in contrast to what I have learned from you guys. Are they plain wrong?

Nettles contain lignans that can displace DHT from SHBG [1], which is good because once DHT is bound to SHBG it is then transported to the SHBG-recptor, unable to be excreted from the body.

So nettle-lignans can decrease total (SHBG-bound) DHT while increasing free-DHT...only free-DHT can be excreted from the body.

[1] Lignans interfering with 5 alpha-dihydrotestosterone binding to human sex hormone-binding globulin.

Lambaugh - I had used nettle root for some years, there were no negatives. It's too weak for hair loss prevention in my opinion.

Lambaugh - I second CS. Nettle /nettle root isn't strong enough for
hair loss prevention. The only effect is when applied
topically that nettle reduces the oiliness on your scalp
a little bit.
