Pumpkin seeds
Hi guys
I've read good stuff about (non-roasted) pumpkin seeds online, but not anything on this board. Anybody has any experience with this that they want to share?
Best,
Jim.

Re: Pumpkin seeds
I've included them in my diet on and off for quite a few years now. They have not helped with my hair loss, but I consume them for their high zinc and protein. I understand that the oil is supposed to block DHT and is used for prostate enlargement. Some have therefore speculated that the oil could be good for hair loss. I tried the oil, but found that it irritated my digestion (loose stools).

I've been including Pumpkin Seeds into my diet for over a year now but I don't eat many (usually 3/4 of a tablespoon a day). I usually sprinkle them over pasta, salad etc. I've started taken Pumpkin Seed Oil supplements for the last 3 weeks also.

Re: Pumpkin seeds
Hmm yeah the combo of high zinc and 5ar/DHT-inhibition would possibly make them a useful tool!
There is a guy who uses them on HLT along with saw palmetto as a finasteride substitute but to be honest he wasn't too happy with the results so may switch soon. I think it all depends how important 5ar inhibition is in your overall regimen.

I know Zinc is present in the seeds themselves but what about the oil?
