Intramuscular Injections
About ten years ago I was told I had low levels of vitamin B and was given a series of intramuscular injections to help. My doctor told me it's not uncommon for those of us with a Mediterranean background to be deficient in vitamin B.
Is it possible for a oral source of Vitamin B to provide sufficient supplementation to those of us who have trouble absorbing or retaining vitamin B?

Re: Intramuscular Injections
ganny - When in doubt, it's a good idea to use the active forms of B-Complex.
This can be accomplished by using either a geniune whole food based multi or by using active forms. An example of an activated form would be this from Swansons:

Caustic,
How many capsules of the activated vitamin B should I take daily? Some docs link Geographic Tongue to a B deficiency too, so I'm hoping taking this will help reduce the appearance of cracks in my tongue.

Re: Intramuscular Injections
ganny - The form of the B-Vitamins will matter most and if it's a high potency then no need to take excessive amounts.
An activated form (Co-enzyme form) or a totally natural non-synthetic isolate form, such as Brewer's yeast (the amounts are lower but its in a fully natural form).
