Magnesium Mouth Rinse Empty Magnesium Mouth Rinse

I know a few guys are rinsing with mag oil after brushing. I tried it last night and it made my teeth feel like the enamel had been stripped a bit, are you guys diluting it before rinsing and how much do you use? Btw, the taste was indeed terrible.

sdguy - It does feel like your teeth are being bathed in acid, but it's just absorbing into the tiny tubules. And it does an interesting number on the sides of the mouth. You can dilute it to minimize the abrasive feeling.

Magnesium Mouth Rinse Empty Re: Magnesium Mouth Rinse

Post  TheFunkyStumpfighter Thu Apr 08, 2010 1:23 pm

Ive been swishing and brushing with it for a week now, and I havent noticed the stripped feeling. When I swish with it, its usually 4 or 5 sprays into a cup of water that has about 2 mouthfuls in it, Im not sure if thats too strong or too weak, but I havent noticed even any irritation on my cheeks or teeth at all.

There isnt any risk that this could do any damage is there? I have a decently complex oral routine (WaterPik w/ Dr Shultze's tooth and gum formula and extra comfrey added, oil pulling twice a day w/ sesame and castor oils, tooth soap, and salt or mag oil swishes after meals), and Id really rather not negate anything. Im under the impression that the mag oil helps remineralize teeth.

I have magnesium chloride from puremagoil.com which is very concentrated and tested which has a PH of about 6.5 = no harm.

I'm using the same exact one that jdp is using. I sip a little in my mouth, let the saliva mix in and "water it down" a bit, then swish around for a few minutes and swallow after brushing. What I brush with:

- toothbrush dipped in magnesium oil

- dip toothbrush in neem powder

- brush

No paste, as most pastes have glycerin and/or fluoride. This has been doing very well for my teeth & gums, only been about 5 days so far.

I've been brushing my teeth with Mag oil for months now. And recently, after I'm done, I started rinsing with MMS and swish it around for a minute or so.
