I am wondering if there is any supplements I can take at all to aid height growth, I am 17 so I still have a few growing years in my. My brother is an inch or two taller and he was extremely ill and not eating through a lot of his teenage years so I reckon I should still have some growth in me. If that makes a difference anyway.

I know this is a famous myth etc... but does working out effect growth at all?

no smoke!! at your age is very bad... if you want to grow dont smoke very importante... have a nice alimentation... nice foods... and do much exercise... like smiwing etc not sure about suplements... maybe others know something else...good luck

Oh yeah and my brother smoked from the age of about 13-14, so i'll be annoyed if I don't grow past him haha.

The smoking thing is a myth I believe I have known people who smoked and grew to 6'4 or 6'5 with short parents...i think it has many other varibale then just smoking. Some young men grow until their 25 although it is rare....who knows eveyrbodys body is different I am 24 and I grew one inch when I was 23 last year I'm 5'10 now. And yes I know in the morning you are one inch taller so keep that in mind. During the end of the day with all the working or walkeg and sitting down your spine compresses to the actual height. You're 17 so don't worry about it....I know guys who grew 3 inches when they were 23 even 25 especially black men for some reason and most of them smoked, drink and lived off welfare so go figure lol.

focus on your ability to make human growth hormone IMO. This would include plenty of sleep and avoidance of free glutamic acid foods would be two major ones. Also exercise would be another.

tooyoung - I'm not sure if they would work, however you could try supplementing with pituitary glandulars.

You may want to get some Algoran Ecklonia Cava extract as well, and start supplementing on that. It's been the only herb that's been found to augment your body's natural HGH production.

you can optimize the HGH production by working out on empty stomach, getting sure you get some cholesterol and by eating some protein before bed - this made me grow 2-3cm past my 26 years

i also supppose diary make people getting bigger - it's maybe the hormones in it but that's a different story

Arimidex the aromatase inhibitor (normally used for breast cancer treatment and by steroid users) is widely used by sports parents to increase the final height of their children.Make your research on that.
It's effective but quite expensive...

Did you lift weights or just cardio when you worked out?

My dad grew from 5'11 to 6'5 when he was 24. Mother seen it with her own eyes lol...another friend of the family we knew grew from 5'9 to 6'2 when he was 25.

Algoran's brand of Ecklonia Cava is 98.8% pure, Seanol-F (used in Fibroboost) is I believe 13% pure.

I got my main growth spurt when I was around 17. A kid in my class last year kept commenting that I had grown taller...I measured myself and surprisingly I found that I had nudged the 6ft mark. I'll be 25 in a couple of months.

I think just as important as it is to look after your brain development as it is your body when you're growing. I had terrible nutrition during my teenage years with lots of take out, I'm still trying to lose excess fat from around my stomach from those years. Still, my Dad was 5'7 and I ended up a fair bit taller.

I would recommend getting plenty of Vitamin D. Get out in the sun, eat plenty of fish and supplement. I wouldn't go on an intense weight training program until you reach 18 or so. Give the body time to grow.

i was doing brazilian jiu jitsu at that time for years and weightlifting, the old Russian style (lot of overhead lifts, pushes, no seated exercises - very important, no smith machine, low reps, short pauses, lot of body weight exercises, kettlebells)
i also suppose deadlifts while practising as a teenager it can slower your growth but once you do not grow anymore this exercise can have a positive impact on your height

Ahh I got my first weights set at 13 or 14 I think and lifted on and off since then. I've not doing any massive amount for a long period of time, although I'm quite built.

I heard inversion is great for this, especially if your bones have not fully fused yet. Inverting with weights is the recommended way.
