Taking breaks from supplements?
I've heard a few times from users that they prefer to take a week off out of a month from supplements in order to keep the body from getting used to them. What is the general consensus on this? Should you take breaks from everything once in a while, or only for certain supplements?

j87x - There are certain types of supplements where a break is important or beneficial, however what I use for hair loss does not fall into that category. Most important to keep taking all the time is Omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants.

Re: Taking breaks from supplements?
In getting ready for some blood, urine, and saliva testing, I had to take a week off of all of my supplements. I found I was feeling great for the first few days, and at day five started to feel worse i.e. fatigued, stressed, etc. I'm planning to do a week-long "supplement fast" twice a year as an experiment. If I can replicate the results, I'll start playing with the time. I think there's something there. Not sure what i.e. half-lifes, stores, assimilation, etc. but I get the impression that it might be good for my body on occasion.

newreg, please post all your result when you get them id be very interested.
i know a lot of guys that do supplements 5days on 2 days off. or something like that. simply for cost reasons.
as long as your diet and lifestyle are in good shape; supplements can be easily cycled.
