Acute Pancreatis
CS - do you know anything about acute pancreatis?
My boss was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with it yesterday.
He's 60 years old, non-drinker.
I looked it up on Wikipedia and none of the "common causes" seem to apply to him.

I do know that he was in India, caught a nasty bug and was on antibiotics for awhile.
I am not aware of any other medications.

Re: Acute Pancreatis
scottyc33 - I'm fairly confident it's from the use of cipro.
My knowledge on acute pancreatitis is limited, but I do know to take a very large supply of
pancreatin. I would suggest taking mega doses of pancreatin, this will put a great ease on the pancreas.
Additionally would look into taking active B12 and antioxidants, especially curcumin to dampen free-radicals.
Note that curcumin is used to treat pancreatitis.
