IH need advice Empty IH need advice

IH,

Not sure if I injured my left ankle or this is something different. Right now I have some bruising around the ankle and on the front of my shin.

I'm going to go to the doctor to get it checked out. It looks like a vein or something broke. There's no swelling or pain (other than my achilles which burns a bit off and on), but you can see there's some blood leakage under the skin in the ankle when you press on it.

I was suffering from some plantar fascitis & shin splints when I kicked my running program up a notch. I've been running stadium stairs and hills and such.

I also intensely cycle about 4x a week and wear bike shoes (which are very inflexible) which puts a ton of pressure on my feet so this could be just an injury of sorts.

I just want to rule out if any of the supps you recommended could cause a symptom like this.

I'm taking everything on your regimen page (excluding "helpful when eating civilized food), plus the Pauling Protocol supps, iodine and Serrapeptase. I also use regular 300 mg ALA as opposed to Na-Rala. I'm still on the LEF Curcumin as well.

No other symptoms I can think of. No changes in how I feel or how I exercise.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

hadrion - You might try hyaluronic acid internally. Topically Traumeel is great for this sort of pain.

IH,

Did a little reading on the use of hyaluronic acid internally and it has some amazing claims...but I also found something that said it's use could lead to cancer.

Any thoughts on that?

Also, is there a version of it iherb you recommend and use yourself?

Thanks.

hadrion - Hyaluronic acid like molecules are found in cancer, but it is not Hyaluronic acid and in fact in cancer there is a high break down of hyaluronic acid. This can be measured by looking at hyaluronidase levels, which increase significantly in cancer and can be used as a marker.

I take two of these double strength capsules per day. I have not issues with pain of any sort, but use it just to prevent wrinkling. It's also good for the eyes and practically everything else. The body loses about 1% of its capacity to make HA per year so when I hit the age of 70 and beyond, I wonder what kind of effect this will have. So far so good.
