PEMF Therapy
I've recently been reading up on PEMF therapy, and it seems quite promising. I remember it was mentioned on this forum a while back.
Also, how would PEMF therapy compare to the latest laser treatments?
PEMF therapy seemed to have an impact on the prostaglandins. Not sure if I've seen that with lasers.
I see there are PEMF devices that can be used at home. But I don't want to do the same mistake I did with the laser helmet. In-house lasers seem to weak to achieve any significant results.
Would it be better to buy a £1000 PEMF device and use it at home, or spend that money for an in-clinic PEMF therapy?

I'm not aware of PEMF affecting prostaglandins. Can you provide a reference for this?

Re: PEMF Therapy
"Without being bound by any theory or mechanism of action, it is believed that one way in which PEMF promotes hair maintenance, growth, and restoration is by inhibiting prostaglandin D2 (PGD2). One study describes PEMF inhibiting the process of neutrophil production if IL-1β, which upregulates inducible nitric oxide synthase activity, which leads to release of nitric oxide, which results in induction of cyclooxygenase-2, and which results in increasing levels of prostaglandins. Thus, this study demonstrates that one effect of PEMF is a direct alteration of prostaglandin levels. Furthermore, one study has demonstrated that PGD2 inhibits hair growth. Therefore, one major effect of PEMF exposure is the reduction of PGD2, which results in promotion of hair growth and/or limiting or eliminating hair loss." https://patents.google.com/patent/US20130035539A1/en
