Can we enable editing of posts on this forum?

As the title says - I wish, for example, to be able to edit the contents of this post after I post it. But I can't. Best I can do is reply to it with an update and hopefully people will scroll to the bottom to find it and read it.
I plan on making a huge progress thread starting right on 2021 that will detail everything I'm doing with regular progress updates weekly, and editing feature would really make this more useful as otherwise you would have to make new posts for each update...

It's possible to be a moderator, then it'll be possible to edit.

I don't want to be able to edit just any post - just my own. I was hoping that would be some sort of setting you can change on forum backend. If that's not possible, how do I become a mod then?
