Woman who battled blood cancer for 5 years recovers after treating it with TURMERIC in the first recorded case of its kind
A woman’s deadly blood cancer was stopped in its tracks when she began taking a daily dose of a compound found in turmeric, prompting experts to call for further research.
Dieneke Ferguson, 67, had myeloma diagnosed more than a decade ago. Treatment with chemotherapy and stem cells failed and she faced a third relapse. After research online she began taking 8 grams of curcumin, one of the main compounds in turmeric, each day in a tablet made by an Indian company called Sabinsa, costing £50 every ten days. Doctors said that, despite having no further treatment, her condition had remained stable for the last five years. Her case was published in BMJ Case Reports.
Since the turn of the century more than 50 clinical trials have tested curcumin, with results suggesting it may be able to protect against lung disease, myeloma, cancers of the pancreas, colon and breast, Alzheimer’s, heart disease and depression.
Abbas Zaidi, a haematologist at Barts NHS Health Trust, wrote in BMJ Case Reports: “The biological activity of curcumin is indeed remarkable.”
It produces multiple effects through its “natural antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and analgesic properties”. Dr Zaidi said: “More recently it has demonstrated anti-proliferative effects in a wide variety of tumour cells including myeloma cells.”
Every year about 5,500 people in the UK have myeloma diagnosed. Although new treatments have improved survival rates, it is incurable and patients live on average for 5.2 years after diagnosis. Dietary supplements are popular with patients but evidence they increase survival rates is scarce.
Martin Ledwick, Cancer Research UK’s head nurse, said: “As the doctors who have reported this case study state, taking curcumin needs further investigation to find out more about its effects and which patients it might help. Concerns have been raised about the safety of some supplements containing turmeric. So, it’s important that any patient seeks advice from their doctor before taking curcumin.”

Many of the items I use for hair (including curcumin, sulforaphane, trans-resveratrol and quercetin) destroy the stem cells of cancer - Meanwhile 'chemotherapy' and radiation increase the growth of cancer stem cells. This is why people receiving the "Standard of care" endorsed by the AMA, FDA, have second generation cancers after treatments.

Anti virals work well in slowing and even stopping many cancers. But many also need to address more than just anti virals.
Note circumin is anti viral.
Here is one quick study and note glioblastoma typically have very poor survival rates but when given anti viral long term survival increases Dramatically. My uncle passed in less than 6 months with standard radiation and chemo.
—————-
Antiviral therapy against cytomegalovirus (CMV) -- typically only thought a threat in immunosuppressed patients -- was linked to dramatically improved survival in patients with glioblastoma, based on one center's experience.
Two-year survival was 62% among 50 patients who got valganciclovir (Valcyte) through a clinical trial or compassionate-use program at Stockholm's Karolinska Institutet compared with 18% among matched controls (P<0.001), Cecilia Söderberg-Nauclér, MD, PhD, a microbial pathogenesis researcher there, and colleagues found.
The results were even better in the subgroup treated longer, up to 70% and 90% 2-year survival, the group reported in a research letter in the Sept. 5 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.
Such high survival rates have "not been seen in any prior studies, so it is certainly a breakthrough if that is true," https://www.medpagetoday.com/hematologyoncology/braincancer/41392
The cancer is the most common form of brain tumor in adults, and it carries a dismal prognosis -- with a typical survival of just over a year.

Interesting, I love eating raw garlic, mashed up in advocado and tumeric and black pepper. I use ginger to in my fruit smoothies
