Ive read that mucopolysaccharides can only be obtained from animal sources, is this true?
As this is a concern of mine before using products with it, I was just wondering if anyone knew?
Ive read online that it always originates from chondroiton, which in turn always comes from an animal source.
Thanks in advance to anyone in the know!

I wish I could find the source CS, but I did read at some point that the plant sources aren't true mucopolysaccharides, they are of close similarity, but not actual. The source said that only animal sources are the real thing.
Hmmmm...
Anyways, is there a way to find out what the source of a product's ingredients are? Ive tried to contact the two shampoos Im thinking of (surge power wash and focus 21 jojoba shampoo) customer service dpts, but with no luck on that info..
I am against using products with animal originated ingredients, so its rather important that I know before using something.
Thanks in advance!
