iodine and selenium intake balance

Hi. I know it has been advised ta take selenium along with iodine to avoid the iodine alone to produce an imbalance. I am taking this iodine: http://www.iherb.com/TPCS-Iosol-Formula-II-1-fl-oz-30-ml/4785#p=1&oos=1&disc=0&lc=en-US&w=iodine&rc=1530&sr=null&ic=7

I am confused on the mg. of selenium I shoud be taking for every drop of this iodine I take. By the way, I place the dropper vertically when I count the drops and not at an angle; I have read somewhere that this will produce a somewhat "bigger" drop. Anyway, besides the size of the drop, what is the best proportion when taking both iodine and selenium? How much iodine for how much selenium? Please somebody let me know.

The recommendations I have heard are not a per drop of iodine but a per day. 200mcg of a GOOD SOURCE of selenium. Some recommend 400mcg for the first month.

thank you for your reply. so your are saying that from what you know, as long as i take the 200 mg of selenium than i am pretty much free to take whatever amount of iodine?

From what I've read, yea. So long as you work your way up very gradually with the iodine. also its mcg of selenium not mg .
