Re: MSM Prevents Sunburn?
There is a natural supplement that prevents sunburn called...."Astaxanthin"

Here's where you can buy it online... (it's much more expensive in health stores)

I think that's in the Krill Oil I got from HairEvo.

Re: MSM Prevents Sunburn?
I can vouch for lycopene as helping to prevent sunburn/damage from the sun. The difference in my "redneck suntan" (outlines of my clothes from casual sun exposure) is astounding between when I take it and when I don't. It's been about five years since I figured that out and I've taken it daily since. I live in a very sunny, warm clime where the sun is strong all year so I know it's very effective.
This year, however, I added some asthanxin, and I think the protection may be even better. Hard to tell for sure just what the asthanxin has added but I believe it's something.
But I would not vouch for the protective qualities of asthanxin alone. If I had to pick it would be lycopene. At least 15mg/day.
Also, lycopene helps, but you still need to cover up or use sunscreen for direct, prolonged/unaccustomed exposure, or you will still get burned.

Re: MSM Prevents Sunburn?
I actually experienced this to an extent myself and mentioned it in a post in the "How Can I Stop Dandruff Once and For All Naturally?" thread.
2-3 grams prevented my fair skin from burning in about 3 hours of direct sunlight. However I did peel slightly that time, but I've been out in the sun for hours at a time and have no problem, I just get a little tanner each time.

Re: MSM Prevents Sunburn?
I have been taking MSM at a decently high dose the past couple weeks and have laid out in the blistering noon hour sun reading for an hour or more two days in a row in just some small shorts. I did not tan even, let alone burn. I am super pale and normally burn easily.
