Protein Powder to use?
I wouldn't call myself a bodybuilder, but I lift with consistency and like to keep up a lean and muscular physique. I'm also unfortunately, extremely lactose intolerant so finding a protein powder can be difficult. I currently for the past few years have been using PlantFusion, but it's gotten to be too expensive for me to maintain at $30 per 2lbs. I found a whey isolate that's 11lbs for $90 plus I have a coupon code for even more % off and was wondering if it was safe for the hair. Here are the ingredients:
Undenatured Whey Protein Isolate*, Cocoa Powder (chocolate flavours only), Flavouring (flavoured options only), Natural Flavouring (natural options only), Citric Acid (raspberry flavour only), Emulsifier (Soy Lecithin), Sweetener (Sucralose® [flavoured options only]), Colourings (Beetroot Red [raspberry, strawberry cream, blackcurrant and apple & raspberry flavours only], Anthocyanin [raspberry flavour only], Curcumin [banana flavour only], Carotenes [Orange & Passion fruit flavour]). *From Milk

Re: Protein Powder to use?
I use MyProtein Whey Concentrate - no issues so far. I must note that I use unsweetened whey (without Sucralose).

Re: Protein Powder to use?
I think the brand I was looking at last year that I quoted the ingredients on was also MyProtein, except the isolate version. I'm not too keen on powdered foods nowadays but I do think it's a good protein if one feels the need

Undenatured Whey Protein Isolate*, - very bleh
Cocoa Powder (chocolate flavours only), - harmless i suppose
Flavouring (flavoured options only), - bleh
Natural Flavouring (natural options only), -bleh
Citric Acid (raspberry flavour only), - bleh
Emulsifier (Soy Lecithin), - poison, avoid
Sweetener (Sucralose® [flavoured options only]), - more poison
Colourings, - nope
Anthocyanin [raspberry flavour only], - bleh
a largely generic, irrelevant protein powder.

Re: Protein Powder to use?
Gelatine does not have high enough values of BCAA (mainly Leucine) to maximize muscle protein synthesis efficiently like Whey. This Ray Peat preaching is getting tiresome.

yes
You could use BCAA separately, or just BCAA

I use the bulk whey protein isolate from bulksupplements.com. It is the cleanest whey protein you can buy with nothing added. It is $35 a kilogram which is half the price of GNC's comparable products

Re: Protein Powder to use?
I use these two unadulterated protein powders, based on overall purity, quality and overall cost...
Now Whey Protein Isolate Unflavored ($75-$95 per 10lb bag or .33-.52 cents 25 g/protein)
http://www.nowfoods.com/Whey-Protein-Isolate-Unflavored-10lbs.htm
Honeyville Soy Protein Unflavored Isolate ($190 shipped per 44lb bag or .24 cents per 25g protein)
http://shop.honeyville.com/soy-protein-isolate.html?gclid=CI7nzbqlg8UCFW9p7Aod3AwAuQ
On heavy exercise/lifting days, I aim for 1g per pound of body weight.
I add some vanilla stevia and fruit to give the protein palatability. Excellent
https://nunaturals.com/product/105
I buffer all these acids with my blender and tons of green leafy veggies.
