...but do you think it might work?

1) using the hemorrhoid treatment Preparation H as a topical for it's high zinc content. Zinc is an important factor for hair growth and fungal/bacteria control. Since you can use this medicine up to 6 times a day it seems pretty safe just using it once at night.

2) using a nasal decongestant like dristan as a topical in the hopes of inducing "rebound congestion" in the scalp. Rebound congestion means blood vessels in your nose return to their formerly dilated condition...and sometimes they get even more dilated than they were originally making your swollen sinuses even worse. But this induced dilation could be good for improved blood flow to hair follicles.

Most things that come to be accepted as legitimate/fact usually start out sounding silly.

I don't think there's anybody who can say this will work for sure, but there isn't anyone who can say it won't either.

Try it out and let us know how it goes. Its an interesting idea.

I know that topical anti-fungals have been used in the past and I don't think they've done anything miraculous standalone. But the combination might have different results. The only thing I'd be questioning about the decongestant right away would be absorbance. I don't know what chemicals are the specific actives in that formulation, so you'd have to check on the chemical structure: charge, molecular weight. Some things just won't be able to pass through the skin.

There was someone about a year and half ago that had a long ongoing thread on regrowth using some sort of hemm or vaginal cream mixed with minox that was getting him significant results. There was a bunch of other people that jumped onto it but not sure what was ever made of it.
