Hi researchingeverything, I don't remember stating about cheeses being bad for hair. However, there
are some people who cannot handle dairy. I for one eat cheese with reckless abandon, would not worry
unless you have a dairy sensitivity.
Another thing I should mention is, there is no MK-7 in cheese, that's the kind found in natto. Those are other
forms of menaquinones.

on the article http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/06/17/heart-healthy-cheese.aspx#_edn11
where theres an interview with a k2 expert Dr. Kate Rheamue-Bleue, a Naturopathic Physician
you can find this:
As it turns out, scientists have found high levels of MK-7 in one type of cheese: Edam.11 This is wonderful news for those of you who would much rather sit down to a slice of Edam than a bowl of natto! (Natto, a strongly fermented Japanese soybean product, has the highest MK-7 level of any food.)
his references comes from MedKB February 15, 2009
on the other hand cheese is on this list at
http://www.immortalhair.org/dietaryfactors.htm
According to a Dr. David A. Holland, the top ten foods to avoid are
1. Alcoholic beverages
2. Corn
3. Wheat
4. Barley
5. Sugar (sugar cane and sugar beets)
6. Sorghum
7. Peanuts
8. Rye
9. Cottonseed oil.
10. Hard Cheeses

I have heard a stories of people either saying they don't think MK-7 is better than MK-4, or that they had a better experience with MK-4 altogether. Just get your K2 that's all that matters. I eat gouda from a farm in Wisconsin which doesn't pasteurize the milk or feed the cows hormones and all that crap. Aged gouda is a very good cheese.

Re: Edam cheese a great food to stop hair loss?
researchingeverything - Good to know, thanks for clarifying. There are advantages to each form, I take both MK-4 and -7.
The list you had mentioned was one mentioning mycotoxins. I was a bit surprised to see hard cheese on that list.
I for one am not that strict on diet compared to many. Having said that I haven't taken a single antibiotic since 1994.
