question for galea theory Empty question for galea theory

Iv been massaging the outer border of galea where it intersects with the corner of the head and i found this to be the most effective way in loosening my scalp, i have been doing it for a v small time and the result is astonishing in terms of loosening. Im very interested in the theory and i think it has merits but i have 2 questions, why do some people thin on the sides and back as well although this is considered a loose part, iv seen plenty of people who have very thin hair on the sides and the back as they age. Also what makes us sure that the galea is not just a reaction and not the reason for the baldness, if u hurt ur foot and it bleeds and u manage to stop the blood, this doesnt mean its healed, stopping the blood is just stopping a reaction but the action which is the pain is still there. Im not trying to bash the theory, im very interested in it and its a fact that a tight scalp hinders growth but im trying to think out loud.

This below comment on of the sites is interesting:

"I just wanted to share this, maybe others have noticed or have comments and maybe it will help someone.

My hair was thinning quite bad in my 20's and I learnt about massaging the scalp. I remember my hair was always oily in my younger years but after a few years of thinning, it became very dry.
I was massaging my scalp twice per day; I would put my hands on each side of my head, just above the ears and I would push up and move my hands around to move my scalp. I remember my scalp being very very tight.
When I started on propecia, my scalp started to loosen up so much that I could push my scalp together with no resistance at all.

I've been on propecia maybe 12 years or so, since it came out and the last year or so have been getting diffuse thinning. I hadn't done my scalp massage for a while and when I did it....It had some tightness.
I was holding my hair for all these years on .25 mg propecia.
Because of the thinning and tightness, I bumped up my dose to a full propecia for a couple months and later to a quarter proscar (1.25mg)
The quarter proscar has loosened up my scalp again and although I've only been on it about a month, I believe I'm back on track.

I believe that the tightness of the scalp is a buildup caused by the dht and if a person is on finasteride and has a loose scalp, they are probably saving their hair. I tight scalp can be bad news.

I'd be interested in any comments."

I have read this observation a couple of times, that lowering dht loosens the scalp, this means that dht is whats promoting the tightness in first place by some mechanism...

i also don`t think the tight galea is the reason...rather a sympton of too tight muscles around the head/in the face which cause blood restriction to the head.

Why do some people also bald in different patterns, some bald at the temples only and have really thick hair in the rest of head, some at the crown and some like my mother has the tightest head iv ever seen and yet her hair is relatively thin but no baldness whatsoever.

well i think that dht maybe becomes a problem with insufficient blood flow, so it can`t be washed away and stacks up in the follicles.

Also i am starting to think that especially frontal hair los has something to do with a rigid facial expression, constant frowing all the time etc...this tightens the areas of the temples, while a rigid neck and stiff head tightens the occipitalis which leads to crown balding and overall thinning.
(It occured to me lately that cheweing gum probably is a bad practice for balding people)

If one has constant tension in the muscles below the scalp area also all nutrients and oxygen are beeing used up in these muscles, not arriving at the scalp.
