L. reuteri increases 25D by 25% and lowers cholesterol, iodine decreases 25D
"L. reuteri NCIMB 30242 increased circulating 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels by 25.5 percent in hypercholesterolemic adults over the nine-week intervention": http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2013-06/fl-ssp061913.php
And iodine +co-factors decreases 25D in fibromyalgia pacients. Anyone knows WHY?
"There was a non-significant drop of 40% in the mean serum 25-OH-D3 levels of the five FM subjects evaluated following the addition of the ATP cofactors to iodine supplementation"...http://www.optimox.com/pics/Iodine/IOD-21/IOD_21.htm
Also, they say another study will follow in which 1.25D (among others) will be measured, but I could not find it anywhere: "The measurement of red blood cell ATP levels, serum calcitriol, and PTH will be added to the laboratory tests in order to achieve a better understanding of the effect of the program on ATP synthesis and the interaction between the serum 25-OH-D3 levels and the biologically active hormone calcitriol." ...Someone has access to it (if they did it)?
