Iodine & Radiation Empty Iodine & Radiation

OK, since I know very little about this, this may be a silly question. It's not even my idea but someone asked about this in a different place but got no reply.

Is it still safe to take Lugol's iodine that has traveled by airmail? If it might have gotten scanned by the X-Rays at the airport or what not? IT won't turn into radioactive iodine?

Just put my mind at ease, please, I've been taking it for a few days and I want to be sure my thyroid cells aren't getting destroyed as we speak Razz

I don't know man, I wasn't aware that x-ray machines turned iodine radioactive. Is that a thing?

Well, probably not. It does seem a bit silly now that I think about it.

But I guess I just wanted someone knowledgeable here to confirm it?
