The body hair and hairloss connection? Empty The body hair and hairloss connection?

This was a bit confusing for me when I first found out that body hair and scalp hair have an inverse relationship with DHT.

So a person with low/no body hair would have very low DHT and good scalp hair.

And a person with more body hair would have higher levels of DHT and problems with hair on the scalp.

I've noticed this when I see people around. Those with really good hair seem to usually have almost little or no body hair.

I on the other hand have quite some body hair. So does that mean I need to lower my DHT levels? Could I have ignored the importance of DHT?

I've read conflicting articles on DHT, with some saying it is detrimental and others saying necessary for hairgrowth(on the scalp).

Cheers,

Mike
