Topical oil increases hairloss? Empty Topical oil increases hairloss?

Hey guys,
Everytime i try an oil or topical that is supposed to help with hairloss i feel like my hairloss is increasing.

What could be the reason?

Most of the time it will get worse before it gets better; the weak hairs will "reset" by shedding and a new hair will come out behind it in a new growth phase

That might be true. But i feel that its "bad" hair loss..itching, more dandruff, clogged hair follicles etc.
