narrowed nasal passages
I often notice at night when I lay down to sleep I have a hard time breathing thru my nose. My right nostril seems almost blocked compared to my left. During the day it's better but I can tell there is still some airflow restriction. Maybe the lack of oxygen theory starts with how we are breathing...especially at night. I'm thinking of trying those breathe-rite nasal strips at night but I wonder if I may get addicted to them and can't fall asleep with them.

Also have the same, combined with on/off blocked one side of the nose throughout the day and massively increased mucus.

If none of the above help or a neti pot. You may want to look in to getting a CT scan done through your ENT. I fought with this for years and tried everything from cayenne nasal sprays to acupuncture. Nothing worked. Turns out I had blockages all over my face, a severe deviated septum, and turbinates that were lopsided. Had 2 surgeries and am 90% better.
You can also see about trying a med called Dymista. Its an intranasal steroid (doesnt get in to your bloodstream) that really helps.
