nsaid cleared up long term stubborn whiteheads?
hi, been lurking immortalhair for a few years and decided to post a question today. please excuse for my english as it isnt my first language.
For many years ive been having whiteheads here and there on my face, mainly places with oil production i.e forehead, two corners at the front of my scalp. Initially i thought its over sebum production so ive tried borage and pumpkin seed oil and egcg etc. Then i suspected i may have candida and began taking gse etc. Ive even been applying ketaconazole cream on the two corners of my scalp every other day for over a year but these whiteheads still wont go away (tho it helped tremendously for scalp itching).
Last week i was given NSAID (Olfen) for my shoulder injury and to my surprise these persistent whiteheads were all gone after a few days. My question to all the experts here is, is it possible to infer what has been causing the whiteheads from this case if NSAID has worked (especially those at the front of my scalp)?
Thanks in advance.

Re: nsaid cleared up long term stubborn whiteheads?
Looking this up led me to an eye-opener from Wiki:
Ibuprofen is sometimes used for the treatment of acne, because of its anti-inflammatory properties, and has been sold in Japan in topical form for adult acne.
I suppose the hair benefits people claim (without visual evidence that I know of) from NSAIDs could be from reducing microbial growth. But NSAIDs used for a while can cause hair loss, so I'd suggest that (or topical steroids) only as a short-term inflammation test.
