Why is it preferrable to take Pureway-C 2 hours from food ? as visible in IH regimen page

Vitamin C increases iron absorption if consumed around the same time, a big no-no for hair. It's no problem to take with food if what you're eating has no iron.

I should be cautious then. I usually take lots of pureway when waking up, than 30 mins later have my breakfast with one or 2 bananas.

I'm a pretty big OJ drinker and I drink it throughout the day. I just got a panel back revealing elevated iron levels. Looks like I'll reduce it and supplement with pureway +iodine+co factors prior to bed.
