Synthetic vs Natural Vitamins Empty Synthetic vs Natural Vitamins

Okay, I've lately been looking into vitamins, their names and forms.

The most annoying things is that, EVEN the ones said to be organic and natural is not.

How is it that the consumption of synthetic vitamins was ever accepted into public consciousness, I do not know. But the addition of synthetic vitamins, is very similar to the debate about GMO foods entering into our bodies. How was this allowed? When did this happen? When did first synethic vitamins become mainstream by the consumers of vitamins?

Anyways. I would like to make a list of the vitamins A-Z, with their names of the synthetic and the (real) natural form. So far, I haven't been able to find a multivitamin where all its ingredients, are completely natural(do not use this word haphazardly).

Regards,

Mike

Most whole food vitamins are a marketing gimmick. There are ones like MegaFood where the vitamins are fed to yeast, then extracted from yeast so they are slightly more bio-available (even this isn't 100% known, different extraction methods are used for different companies, etc). Best course of action is to get vitamins from a healthy, well rounded diet. Take a standard cheap multi if you wish to guarantee against deficiency. Another option is to take all vitamins separately in good forms, at therapeutic dosage. As for the fear of synthetic vitamins, they are structurally identical on a molecular level (ask any chemist and they will explain this to you), the thing to look out for is what FORM it is in, as some forms do not absorb as well as others.

Then there is the debate of co-factors found with vitamins vs isolated vitamins, for instance it is better to take tocotrienol/tocopherol supplement rather than just tocopherol, although there isn't a whole lot of research to prove this for every vitamin. Notice how NaturalNews never cites sources because their articles are all based on opinion and not research.
