hairloss caused by stress
hi
i am new to this forum!!
maybe light will dawn upon me..
here s the situation....I started shedding at 18 yold after a disappointment over a love affair, and although hairloss has slowed down since then, its still here.....It doesnt only affect my hair but also my whole body and eyebrows in particular.
I dont know under which angle to approach the problem.I have heard so many things...maybe it could be thyroid related(I have been on thyromax for 2 weeks, with biosil jarrow),i am scared of the side effects of propecia and i am thinking of starting provillus.I remember when i was working out at 20 yold,i was taking this protein shake"mass 2000" and my hairloss dramatically slowed down if not stopped.I am now 32.
Lots of things going on in my mind. All this affects my whole life.My social life in particular,I cant stand looking at myself in the mirror.Would a dht blocker be enough?Biotin?
I really appreciate your input.
Thank you and help me.

hairloss caused by stress
truffy, stress can surely cause hairloss but I can't imagine that stress is the reason for
your hairloss
Losing bodyhair and eyebrows is - from my point of view - something different.
Possible reasons could be Alopecia Areata, candida, may be a thyroid dysfunction.

Re: hairloss caused by stress
truffy - Considering the loss of some eyebrow hair you are probably iodine deficient.
I would strongly suggest taking Lugol's solution at 2 to 8 drops per day until you see improvement, and then maintain
at two drops per day.
More info on iodine here:

Re: hairloss caused by stress
i would say that stress does definitely cause hairloss. I was shredding about 100 hairs per wash and my scalp was always oily by noon time. After taking supplements, IH's top 5 or 6, i was able to get rid of the oiliness and stop the shred. I am having huge regrowth in the front but can't seem to grow in the areas above the temple.

ok but......
how many weeks after starting the top 6 did you notice some improvements?I also have a terrible flaky scalp....definitely after eating sugar its getting worst.....could candida be the cause?

Re: hairloss caused by stress
sugar increases DHT and insulin, everything necessary for the damage to occur. It allows a population increase in bacteria, yeasts etc. Candida is also a possibility but is often caused by sugar.
Re: hairloss caused by stress
Any food i used to eat that contained sugar or sulfur based supplement (candida feeds on sulfur) would give me the worst dandruff.
