Colds/Sicknesses/Immunity
I have been on the IH Regimen solidly for about 1.5 years.
I note that I seem to keep getting sick with Colds, minor Flu or even vomitting bugs. Someone recently remarked that they would have thought I would be way more resistant considering all the pills I "pop". I am curious as to what might be going on here.
Thanks.

Re: Colds/Sicknesses/Immunity
I've always been confused on this point also. I never get sick, and I mean never. Not since the seventh grade when I had a severe case of pneumonia. But it really has been since then, short of a few headaches over the years.
My questions is, does this indicate a strong immune system or does it indicate an immune system that isn't fighting much of anything off. If this were the case, I feel like over the years I would have developed a pretty extreme infection. As an aside, I was very sick as a baby and was not breast fed. I've been told that not being breastfed introduces an immune system that resembles an adult's too soon in the infant. So I can't be sure, but perhaps my immune system just became ultra sensitive as an infant, which would explain how I become so easily inflamed: chemical sensitivity, food sensitivity, especially the reactive rosacea as well.
But I'm no immunologist so if anybody knowledgeable on this topic wants to chime in it would be appreciated.

I also work from home, so people contact is minimal. Last Christmas, I was the only one in the family who got a vommitting bug on Christmas night. I am currently fighting a cold (for the second time this year), however it feels like my body is battling it hard and stopping the cold from taking a real hold on me. I just feel beat and wanting to sleep.
So frustrating when I take good care of myself.
I guess I have to defer working out until I am well again?

From what I've come to understand, if you don't come in contact with people carrying a germ you wont get it. If you do, chances are you will. Supplements can only speed up the processes in which you recover, they don't prevent you from getting sick like some people on this forum *believe*

For what it's worth, I managed to beat this cold/flu in about 4 days. I followed CS' recommendations from the Healthy Fixx website (dosing up on Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Zinc and Green Tea capsules along with lots of fluids and rest). I believe this is the quickest I have ever gotten over this kind of sickness and am happy with that.
