Is the 30 month window true?
I've heard that once hairs are gone for more then 30 months it is impossible for them to come back. Is this true?

Probably not. The Maliniak guy appear to have regrown quite alot of hair where he'd been bald for many years.

Re: Is the 30 month window true?
Hi all
I am a hairdresser and have been for 34 yrs we are taught a lot about the scalp and problems associated with the scalp, as far as I have been always understanding it is approx 5 years before the follicles are so minaturised that the hair cannot break through and skin actually closes them over, now I am not a medical expert and there is a lot of bulldust spoken in hairdressing circles BUT as far as I know this is a fairly accurate statment.
Cheers

I don't think so.
I'm getting hair at my temples go from slick to velous to terminal right now and I have had a widows peak since highscool/no hair in these areas for over 10 years.
As for the skin sealing them in/ this may be the case because I had some pretty consistent skin peeling in these areas when I was brushing for the first couple months.

This is probably incorrect and circulating on internet forums where asmall group of surgeons made that surmon. I read an elderly man using sulfalazine for arthritis, grew hair where he was bold for over 45 years. Another person on a forum on hlh forum stated that he and his friend using sulf. for crohn disease started growing hair in juvenile hairline and they were annoyed by it.
If nothing else, stem cell technology should be able to boost any dormant follicle/scarring into active follicles. Theoretically
