Close up pics of my scalp
I just thought it would be informative to post pics of my scalp, in the different zones affected by MPB, to see how my hair follicles are being affected. I would consider myself a typical NW4.
First, where my hair is still full, above my ears
Next, on top of my head, where it looks to have thinned 60% or so
temples, 50% or so thinning
Vertex, approximately 80% gone
Hairline, receeding, lost 2 or so inches + diffuse thinning

Scalp massage 5 min a day to maintain scalp flexibility
Brushing scalp with stiff boar bristle brush 5 min day
Inversion table 30 min/ week
ZX42 topical 2x/ day
I also dring ginkgo biloba tea not for hairloss but it may help.

Right hairline 3 months ago-See reference dots
Right hairline today (Sore from brushing while sun burnt)-See reference dots (I believe they are accurate). Appears a whole bunch of vellus hairs have gone terminal

i think the zx42 you're taking, accelerates the benefits of brushing and massaging as well as other blood circulators. i also noticed somewhat "fast" results while on minox. since I've quit minox, only been a week, but hope the progress can be maintained.

Yeah I think the pics give a good representation of how hair is affected with MPB. And thanks, I am determined to grow my hair back one way or the other.

I would assume that minoxidils main function is improved blood flow...So brushing/ massaging/ lasering ect, SHOULD help you keep most of your minox gains, theoredically.

Hey Slowmoe!
If the reference points are accurate these pics are very impressive! Congrats dude! I can take encouragement from this & it's great to see physical proof, ie pics of growth!!
Noticed the nasty scar there, Is that solely from brushing? or brushing / sunburn combination?
What kind of force do you apply whilst brushing?

SlowMoe: Out of your regimine, what in your opinion is the most important... the zx42?
Just a word of caution on the inversion table:
I was using one quite a bit for quite awhile, until my vision started heading south for no apparent reason. After only 5 minutes on google I learned that inversion tables put quite a bit of pressure on the optic nerve, to the point that it can potential destroy cells. It appears it doesn't happen with everyone, but just a word of caution.
I'm not sure this is what happened with me, but not worth the risk.
And thanks for posting photos!

Re: Close up pics of my scalp
Brush burn plus sunburn. I don't really brush that hard.
Honestly I think the most important thing is giving your scalp as much manual stimulation as possible, while keeping your scalp loose. Cutting your hair short is a good way to find out when your scalp is getting tight, and I easy to stimulate cause no Long hair in the way. Learn what it feels like so you can stretch it out and loosen it up every time stress hits.
I think if you keep a good steady flow of blood going throughout the day/ night that is the best thing you can do. I saw some results before the zx42 but I believe it sped up the process a lot.

I just joined this forum ...when i googled zx42 this blog came up on top . I too am using this zx42 stuff .. i bought 3 months worth and he sent me an extra bottle for free... anyways i was interested because you are using it too and this is probably this best documentation of the stuff out there. Ive been on it about 2 months 1 week ... i think just maybe something is happening but i cant say for sure... im a hard norwood 3 atm...I bought the nizoral as well , use that about once a week . Thanks for these updates slowmoe .. . . hope to see some regrowth like that !

I HIGHLY recommend you get a good boar bristle brush and brush your scalp at least 5 minutes a day. Spend 25-50% more time in the hairline area. Make sure when you get done your scalp is pink.
Also do some massages to your scalp to keep it loose. Especially in times of stress.

Re: Close up pics of my scalp
One that us stiff enough to penetrate firmly to your scalp.
There is a thread here where I describe how I massage. I also dry g ginkgo blob tea brewed from 1 tblsp of dried leaves. This probably helps alot too.

Any particular brands of brushes you would suggest?
