Mostly Raw Veg & Meat vs. Specific Carb Diet (Hair)

I kind of notice 2 schools of thought as it relates to hair and diet... Is their any benefit really to either one?
Is their any general acceptances to diet and hair loss?
Seems as if most people agree on little to no starch... That does not seems healthy to me and I felt horrible without starch. I now just pretty much do potatos and white rice... But going the gluten free route
as for the SCD diet... How much fruit (oranges) should one eat with a meal to resemble like a medium potato?

From experience and research, SCD ... for me anyway.
