Topical solution results in scattered erythema Empty Topical solution results in scattered erythema

Im trying out this topical, some herbal mix. The effect I've seen so far is that the skin it gets in contact with gets pretty red (erythema), however, this is mainly when the mixture gets in contact with my forehead, when I apply it to my thinning temples and hair line, it doesn't result in the same strong visible effect. Could this mean that my temples have some level of fibrosis or at least affected by decreased blod flow?
