Vitamin D and K on TOP 6
Vitamin D is very important we all know that, but specifically for hair I am somewhat surprised to see it listed on the top 6! IH or anyone else explain?
K2 is important but easy to get through diet as far as I know and thus not something everyone needs to supplement for hair and therefore not qualified for top 6.

Heh, cpio I think IH knows what he's doing. I trust the guy. Besides it's HIS regime, not ours.
And it's not easy to get 90mcg through diet. Unless you're eating a ton of grass fed beef suet.

And indeed it does. The NutritionData entry for suet says it contains 3.6 micrograms (4% DV) per 100g. 100g is about a quarter pound of suet, more than you would reasonably eat. Unless you were really hungry. But anyway, that's a small amount of K2 per serving. However, the n-6/n-3 ratio of the suet entry indicates a grain-finished animal (2.5 : 1). You would probably expect a grass-fed cow to have much more K2 in its suet, as it does in its milkfat. According to Weston Price, butter fat varies 50-fold in its K2 content. If that were true for suet as well, grass-fed suet could conceivably contain up to 180 micrograms per 100g, making it a good source of K2.
