Question for IH about my digestion problems. Need reccomendations..

Hey Immortal,

SO for the past 2 years my bowel movements have been consistently either green or yellow. Mostly a dark shade yellow. Before this they were ALWAYS brown. This came after a period of heavy drinking that last 1 1/2 years.

I have had a colonoscopy, CT scan of intestines, bloodwork, abdominal ultraosund everything comes back normal. I am waiting on one test which is my fecal fat test that would determine if Im not absorbing enough fat. My gastro Dr. explained that this would mainly be a problem with the pancreas not producing enough enzymes.

I was thinking it might be mild pancreatis, or my liver not producing enough bile salts, etc. I have lost 10 Lbs since then which I have not been able to put back on no matter how much I eat. This tells me there has to be an absorption/break down issue going on.

I have tried thousands of different enzyme products to no avail. All kinds of GI support stuff. Nothing is working. I just want my normal color bowel movements back as I know having a healthy digestive system is CRUCIAL to optimal health, if not the most important thing.

Really looking for any advice you have on this matter. Would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much.

Did you try taking chlorella?

Don't mean to be disgusting but I'm curious as I'm also having bowel problems...How is size of your stool? normal or thin?

Havent tried chlorella. Stools are usually softer and on the thin side.

Is there a vegetarian form of this? If not I will take if I have to. Been a veggie all my life.

Probably not. Bile is only produced by animals.
