Best form of selenium?

What's the best form of selenium for someone on iodine and the IH top6?

Here are the types I know of:
L-(+)-Selenomethionine (Selenium Yeast, L-Selenomethionine, Selenomethionine, Sodium Selenite)
methylselenocysteine (from Selenium Synergy)
SeMSC Selenium (from Swansons vitamins)
S-adenosyl-methionine (SAM)
L-Se-methylselenocysteine
SeleniumMC

I am currently taking both methylselenocysteine (from Selenium Synergy 200mcg) and SeMSC Selenium (from Swansons vitamins 200mcg) - According to http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/natural/1003.html the dosage should be less than 400 mcg/day , I'd like to know the better form of selenium to use it and only get 200mcg a day.

My little understanding is that there are 3 forms we deal with: elemental selenium, selenomethionine and methylselenocysteine(please correct me)

elemental selenium is toxic when methylation is off above 400mcg
selenomethionine is the form synergetic with iodine and essential for the thyroid
methylselenocysteine is good for oncological issues

The last two can be safly taken at doses above 400mcg.....200 of each seems like a good idea to me

edit: SeleniumMC, SeMC, SeMSC are all the same thing: methylselenocysteine; not sure how you came up with SAM being selenium....

I like brazil nuts. But, I think they have to come from soil that had selenium in it otherwise they might not have selenium.

Pancake is right, SeleniumMC, SeMC, SeMSC are all the same thing.

SeMSC is the form found in whole foods such as broccoli and garlic. Making sure you get organic brazil nuts or garlic will ensure there is "more" selenium. I say "more" because who knows if it is adequate but it is usually more than conventionally grown produce. I take one Jarrow's SeMSC per day which has 200mcg of SeMSC and Sulforaphane. This is the one CS takes as well. I haven't taken the swanson's brand yet but it is 200mcg too. If its any consolation I dowsed my SeMSC and got back 1 pill per day was optimal for me.

Even better, bearlic garlic only gorws in selenium rich soils....

CS, you take a different form of selenium as per your regimen page at immortalhair.org. Do you disagree with the part in bold? Have just wondered this for a while and was hoping you could address the issue.
