No connection between insulin resistance and AGA?

This study suggests that there is no correlation between insulin resistance and AGA. What do you guys make of this?

The more I research hair loss, I find more and more contradictory studies. My theories are going in circles, and I am starting to believe that there is in fact no natural way to combat/prevent this disorder. $%^&ing depressing.

When it comes to medicine, you can find studies to support any hypothesis under the moon. This is not necessarily a result of bad methodology, competing (monetary) interests, etc. Real, good science is very hard. You need to control for so many different factors, and you need large sample sizes. Ultimately, what you have to look at is the preponderance of evidence.

Here are some more studies looking at premature balding. The conclusions are the opposite of the study you posted.
