On iodine supplementation.
This guy thinks that iodine supplementation is a scam. Thoughts?

Re: On iodine supplementation.
Hard to have any credibility when you post articles like these:
http://healthwyze.org/index.php/proof-that-the-swine-flu-epidemic-was-man-made-and-intentional.html
Yeah, read the comments at the bottom. Completely unraveled by readers.

Re: On iodine supplementation.
I'm pretty sure H1N1 is a man made strain, whether or not it was intentionally released is dubious, especially considering the regular flu kills far more people.
Anyway, the assumptions he makes are ridiculous, and the science he speaks of to assert his point has been systematically proven bunk over and over again. I have personally taken 100-200mg of iodine for many weeks on end, and at least 25mg for more than a year now. Contrary to what that man says will happen, and I know that this may be hard to believe, but I am, in fact, not dead.

Re: On iodine supplementation.
Oh no, it wasn't the argument about H1N1 that was problematic, it was just that the entire argument was based on a misinterpretation of a patent application and of science in general.
Right, no sources in the Iodine article that I could find. Also, look at the comments section. A reader posted an interesting article about transdermal iodine consumption rates that went against the author's opinion, and this Thomas person did the same thing as he did in defense of the H1N1 article: completely misinterpret not only what the commenter was stating, but the conclusions that could be made from the results of the study.

On January 18, 2007, Kobasa et al. reported that monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) infected with the recreated strain exhibited classic symptoms of the 1918 pandemic and died from a cytokine storm

Re: On iodine supplementation.
If you've done enough research on H1N1 the quote I posted speaks volumes.
I could go on with others but this is a hair loss forum and don't think people want to hear about the 180+ BioWarfare labs in US and what has been accidentally and deliberately released... several of which the US govt has ackowledged.

OK, but that has nothing to do with what I posted. You need to read the article and the comments. I wasn't disputing what you posted, I just didn't understand its relevance.

The author doesn't have a clue about iodine.
Dr. George Flechas owns a lab where over 32,000 patients have been tested for iodine.
Dr. David Brownstein has tested thousands of patients also. The average finding is that 96% of all people tested were low on iodine.
The photograph used in the article above is antiseptic iodine (not the kind we ingest).
I've seen amazing transformations in autoimmune diseases, (Fibromyalgia, CFS, thyroid diseases, diabetes and PCOS) with iodine as part of a treatment protocol, so articles like the above are a huge disservice.
Not only that, but iodine is quite cheap. Drugs on the other hand are peddled on television have no virtually no real benefit to the body.
Maybe the article should be titled, "The dark side of anti-alternative writers."
