Grass-fed beef supplier?
I checked my local market and they have grass-fed beef (Harris) but when I checked the website it says their beef is grass-raised and corn finished, which is not a good thing. Anyone have a favorite supplier for affordable grass-fed beef?
I thought the Beef Buckaroo package at http://www.bestgrassfedbeef.com/order-beef.php looked ok, 20lbs of beef for $100, but would love some other options.

The best would be to search for local farms that you can trust. It's usually a bit pricier, though.

I'd love to find a local farm albe but I'm in San Diego and there's nothing down here. Didn't think of Trader Joe's CS, I'll stop by and see who's supplying their beef.

Whole foods market sells organic grass fed beef, Eel River organic beef is the brand they sell at the Pasadena store, quite expensive though.

Eatwild's a great site, I think I found out about that one from Mercola's book - thanks for the ideas everyone.
It looks like Trader Joe's carries Sommers Organic which claims their cows are grass-fed their entire lives (I emailed them), so I'll confirm that it's my local TJ's brand and go with that. I like the Whole Foods option too but they're a bit of a drive, TJ's is right next to my gym.

Re: Grass-fed beef supplier?
Checked the grass-fed beef at my TJ's and it said something like "fed a vegetarian diet only" or some such nonsense, like they're fattening cows up on sardines and beef jerky at other ranches. I think it's safe to say the beef is finished on corn, which from what I've read goes a long ways toward defeating the purpose. You might want to check the wording on your local beef CS. Guess I'm off to Whole Foods or an online supplier.
