Gingko and Capsaicin
I have decided to add Gingko to my regimen and started taking it a couple of days ago. I am trying to improve blood flow to my scalp. Last night I dusted off my scalp roller and went to town on my scalp with it and sprayed my copper peptides on it afterwards. It certainly generated some heat! I'm still feeling the warmth this morning. Copper worked to stop my shed before and a couple of months ago I stopped using it twice a day and I started to shed again (and still have been), so I'm back on the copper regimen in the hopes that it will stop again. I guess I slowed down on it because I was disturbed that although the copper seemed to nearly halt my shedding, I wasn't growing any new hair. Anyway, back to the subject--I don't know much about capsaicin--I'm still on the fence about whether to add this to my regimen since I am taking just a ton of supplements. Anybody care to weigh in as to whether this would be beneficial? I read that it can improve metabolism, so that would be a plus--if it is true. As an fyi--my circulation is rather poor. I smoked for many years...

JosephineMarie - Cayenne increases cutaneous IGF-1, and this might be enough to make a difference. In one study, the combination of 6 mg of cayenne (pretty small dose) and about 40 mg of soy isoflavones helped in this regard.

Thanks for your reply, CS. I'm somewhat opposed to ingesting any form of soy. One of my many reasons is that it is my understanding that soy isoflavones are natural insecticides and therefore are not something I want to ingest. Then there's the fact that soy is high in estrogen, which I feel I don't need/I'm trying to keep a lid on. Will just taking cayenne in the form of capsaicin do the trick to increase circulation and/or increase IGF-1?
