JDP or CS- I know that you recommend either gold digest or doctors best but i was wondering if there were any that are just as good that are less expensive. Also, what do you think of Natto supplement by doctors best, as it is a best seller on Iherbs.

1....,

Digest Gold and Nattokinase are almost for two seperate issues. Nattokinase is more for clearing out scar tissue, increasing the immune system, etc.. Whereas Digest Gold while it will help with scar tissue, etc. to a lesser extent, is more for those who have food sensitivities related to their health problems.

A cheap alternative to Digest Gold and other enzymes geared towards food sensitivities are bitters such as this. http://www.iherb.com/Planetary-Herbals-Digestive-Grape-Bitters-8-fl-oz-236-56-ml/19147?at=0 There are smaller bottles of this to save money but in short, the bitters will increase your bodies own production of enzymes, stomach acid, bile, etc.. You just put a half dropper on your tongue before or after a meal.

Slightly OT, but related: Is it healthy to take HCL/pepsin if you don't seem to have digestive issues? I ask because I have a huge bottle I ordered last year when I was consuming mass amounts of protein powder. I have no idea if it can be used in 'healthy' individuals without detriment? The one I have is 650mg betaine HCI/162mg pepsin.

Paradox - Sure, not a problem, especially if you take it with a heavy meal.
