Question about an addition to the top 6 Empty Question about an addition to the top 6

Post  Guest Tue Mar 09, 2010 10:53 am

CS-

I was wondering why iodine isnt part of your top supplements. I really think you should add it to the list because there will be a lot more success stories if you do. IMO a lot of people just look at the 6 supps and dont really consider the others in the physiology section. Iodine was the most complete supplement for me when the top3 didnt work. Iodine alone stopped my hairloss. Iodine removes the halogens, removes heavy metals, kills candida, fixes the thyroid. Just a consideration.

To 1....

Do you mind if I ask you, how long were you taking Iodine when you started seeing results? I have been taking it for a couple weeks now..Thanks.

1..... - Adding iodine to the list, may make it complicated. Plus there's selenium and ultimately, it's not a bad idea to add vitamin C and minerals such as magnesium. So to keep it really simple, the top six is there for the coverage.

I got results without the iodine, everyone is different. Bear in mind that since everyone has a different pathology concerning their hair loss, nothing is quite as simple as it appears.

On top of that iodine needs a lot of education as you probably are already aware, due to all the misconceptions about it.
Collectively, we're still trying to figuring everything out about it.

Hoppipolla - Reading all of this thread will probably answer that well enough.

Question about an addition to the top 6 Empty Re: Question about an addition to the top 6

Post  Hoppipolla Tue Mar 09, 2010 11:51 am

Very fascinating thank you, it is starting to come together more!

I must remember to check my thyroid using that temperature test you told me about before - I did buy a digital thermometer Smile I will probably start tomorrow morning!

My diet is cleaned up so that should help, although I am drinking a LOT of tap water... I'll work on a way to fix that ASAP. I'm just still working out the best way and I didn't realize my Brita filter might not be good enough ._.

Oh, someone I was speaking to said that just using Iodine to treat the thyroid is bad because an under or over active thyroid is usually just a sign of something else being wrong. What do you think about this?

If I were to correct my diet and change the water I drink, maybe I could merely recheck my temperature/thyroid and see if it corrected by itself?

Hoppipolla - You're likely to find that very same concern stated by numerous experts, physicians, and of course on this forum as well.

However, it just happens to be false.

hehe I'll have a good read in a bit, and yes am very interested in Iodine particularly if my thyroid comes up underactive! I would proooobably end up swapping it for the vitamins C, D and E in my regimen, or maybe the lignans if I am confident enough that the Curcumin or something is covering me there! Smile

haha, and you say you're not one for conspiracy theories! lol

I reckon I'm gonna switch to a good bottled water ASAP! There's no point in putting all these good supplements in me and changing my whole diet, just to flood my system with flourine!! lol

Beware of those bottled waters sitting on the store shelves at the supermarket though ... bpa ----> insulin resistance, etc.. You don't want to substitute one poison for another. But then again, bpa it's lined in tin cans. Worse in tomato cans ... acidic.

Wondering if this would be any good.. http://www.vitacost.com/Life-Extension-Potassium-Iodide-Tablets .. I use vitacost for all my supps so I would prefer to go through them to order. If i took one of these a week would this be an adequate amount. I read 12.5 mg a day is the best way to go but these look cheap and once a week would be less for me to remember!

Lucky13 - Look for either Iosol or Lugol's instead of straight Potassium iodide.

Jocko59,

I'm not saying I believe it but if you want to make a society more docile, etc. like previous countries did before the US got involved with flouride then you'd have to take away the Iodine as sufficient Iodine would prevent flouride toxicity.

In order to take away Iodine, scaring the public with a false study would be a good way to keep Iodine intake low ----> flouride toxic.

Ah ok, I mean I bought a couple of large bottles of Volvic water... should that be ok? ._.

What is a better option?

The best option imo is too buy a reverse osmosis water filter. I still have not got round to doing this as yet, but I am concerned about the fluoride that is put in the water by the health authority, despite the fact that the research for fluoride is totally flawed. THe study used to show dentists that fluoride is good for teeth is so woeful it's made me question the intelligence of dentists that they bought in to this shit. All done with good PR by Edward Bernays.

If you want to see a very insightful documentary then click the link. It's Adam Curtis, Century of the self, a very well respected British documentary maker

"Another brilliant documentary series by Adam Curtis and the use of ideas of freud in politics, business and economics. The first episode focuses on his american nephew Edward Bernaise, who show american business how to manipulate and control the masses. documentary, adam curtis, edward bernaise, sigumd freud, politics, business, economics, marketing, psychology, manipulation"
